Dr. Miravone is a board certified Illinois-licensed Chiropractic and Naturopathic Doctor certified to practice Acupuncture in Illinois.
Dr. Miravone is a graduate of the fully accredited postgraduate program in Chiropractic and Naturopathic Medicine at National University of Health Sciences. She has additional post-graduate training in pediatrics, nutrition, and functional rehabilitation as well as various myofascial techniques. Dr. Miravone is currently licensed as an ND in the state of Vermont and licensed as a DC in the the state of IL. Dr. Miravone has a special interest with supporting women through pregnancy, labor and delivery, post-partum care, and breastfeeding, as well as pediatric wellness.
Dr. Miravone grew up surrounded by herbs, oriental medicine, and home-cooked Laotian meals. The impact of straying from the lifestyle she was raised in became starkly apparent as she gradually increased the intake of medications and processed foods in her life. The impact these lifestyle changes had on her body greatly affected so, after being treated by a chiropractor, she decided to make a change. While working towards her Chiropractic doctorate, she began taking some Naturopathic classes and instantly knew her calling. Within all of her life experiences, her passion grew deeper, she made necessary changes in her own life, and has fully experienced the power of Naturopathic medicine. Dr. Miravone is excited to share her experiences and promote this amazing medicine to her patients.
Dr. Miravone believes in restoring health by utilizing non-invasive therapies, such as botanical medicine, nutritional counseling, vitamin and mineral supplementation, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, various myofascial release techniques, and chiropractic manipulation. She wholeheartedly believes in “Doctor as teacher” and that education can empower people of all ages and walks of life to take charge of their health and live optimally! Dr. Miravone will work with you to help you reach your health goals, help you understand the steps necessary to get to your goals, and be your cheerleader along the way.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her daughters, husband, and dog. She loves trying different foods from all over the world, supporting small businesses in her local community, staying active (she is the co-leader for a local "No Excuse Moms" Fitness group), and traveling. Her relaxation consists of cooking, reading a good book, and singing/playing music.
